Employment Attorney

Salary Range: $150,000 – $200,000 per year

Established, 20 year+ law firm specializing in Business Law, Employment Law, and Civil Litigation in Glendale is seeking an Employment Attorney to work in a collaborative environment representing clients confronted with complex legal challenges.

The ideal candidate will have experience handling individual matters, as well as a class action and PAGA lawsuits.

Associate Attorney

Salary Range: $125,000 – $170,000 per year

We are an established, mid-sized, AV-Preeminent firm that provides exceptional legal services to our clients. We seek to add passionate attorneys to our stellar team who have experience in General Litigation. We provide a challenging and rewarding environment with an incentivized bonus structure and excellent benefits. The ideal candidate will have 6 to 12 years of litigation experience.

All candidates must be current members of the CA Bar in good standing. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter who can multitask, operate against deadlines, and communicate well, while operating in a team environment and independently. Strong legal research and writing skills are required.

Responsibilities also include drafting pleadings, conducting depositions, attending court appearances, drafting/opposing motions, and conducting investigation of claims as well as providing advice and reporting to clients. Trial experience is preferred. Sign-on Bonus offered.

Litigation Secretary

Established, 20 year+ busy, mid-sized insurance defense firm seeking full-time Litigation Secretaryl with experience in the areas of Civil Litigation, Business Law and Employment Law.

Job Duties:

• Assist in case management through mediation and/or trial, including preparation of discovery, correspondence, memoranda, Judicial Council forms, briefs, and other legal documents. Ability to draft simple pleadings and correspondence, as directed.
• Finalize pleadings for filing and service in State, Federal, and Appellate Courts (including e-filing and e-service).
• Experience in preparation of pre-trial documents is a must.
• Digital transcription experience is a plus.
• Update and maintain attorney calendar with all court hearings, meetings, depositions, mediations and expert depositions.
• Contact clients, courts, counsel, experts, witnesses, etc. via phone, e-mail, and/or correspondence to act as a liaison in scheduling/coordinating meetings, inspections, IMEs, depositions, etc. Retain court reporters, videographers and interpreters, as necessary.
• Review incoming mail to determine urgency and work with attorneys accordingly.

Job Skills and Qualifications:

Applicant must be able to execute attorney assigned tasks quickly and accurately, be highly organized, detail oriented, have the ability to prioritize assignments, ability to take initiative, work independently, as well as part of a team, and possess excellent communication skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel are required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $65,000.00 – $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
